Very interesting comment from someone named Michael to this Times Herald Record story - says it all:

Ok I am here posting because I just got off of one of Nan Hayworth's famous town hall teleconference calls And she basically blasted the Times Herald for this article as being inaccurate and politically motivated. She talked over or cut off every person who had a question relating to her position to only fund new FEMA funds with offsets. And I spent 50 minutes listing to her double talk waiting to ask my question but never got the chance. I Guess she did not want to answer directly to all the upset folks looking for much deserved disaster relief that her vote for additional funds for FEMA is tied to budget Offsets. Her approach for this will take months for any desperately need money from the Federal government to reach millions of people, state and local governments up and down the East Coast.

When one person on the conference call (probably one of her supporters) suggested that she write a reply to the Record to clarify her position she basically said that the Record would not allow her to respond in a fair manner. What Nan really said is that this article is right on and she will double talk her way out of it.
I hope that this reporter does a follow up on that point.

This is not just about paying for the damage to personal property but also getting the money to repair the roads, bridges and other public infrastructure we all use. Nan you are coward for not facing the reality that you can't play politics with Eric Cantor in this situation especially when your home district has been hit hard by this hurricane. We all have a stake in this and if we can spend over $300 Billion without offsets to "rebuild" Iraq and Afghanistan why are we even questioning spending $8 to $10 Billion on helping ourselves and fellow Americans. WAKE UP NAN your 2 minutes of fame as a congresswoman are over if you keep connected to Eric Cantor.

"Worst Persons in the World

Nan Hayworth has encountered the righteous wrath/scorn of Keith Olbermann. Hopefully this is the first of many appearances for "Our Embarrasment" as Mr. Olbermann refers to her. She was also featured in a post on TPM (Talking Points Memo)on Friday. Sunlight is a great disinfectant, and Nan Hayworth's true colors are out in the open
